Gifts for Teachers

I never know how to make gift cards look pretty, so I decided these little "bags" made from the die cut Top Note BigZ would be perfect. I LOVE putting pink pirouette and Baja Breeze cardstock with Chocolate Chip and I love using "non-traditional" colors even more :-)

The new Stampin' Up rub on's are so quick and easy to use, they make any tag piece of cardstock look professionaly done and like you spent hours creating it.

My Christmas Gift

My oldest son made this for me in his First Grade class and I wanted to share the idea. He painted his hand with white paint, pressed in onto a glass ornament and let dry. Then used Sharpie Markers to draw the snowman features and hung a tag with a special poem on it. You could easily make the poem something special from you and your family.

This year, I am buying each of my boys' their own ornament box for all their keepsakes and each year, we can look back and remember the year they made them.

This is going to be presents for Great Grandparents!

Corey's Altered Canvas...

I am making these for all my far away friends and this is the first one I did. This is for my friend Corey in CA. Her twin girls are just the cutest :-) I love creating a little sugar and spice now and then, since I rarely get to do that in my house!
I still need practice with the Mod Podge, but I think it turned out nice, anyway! I used paint for the canvas, and then created a scene using the felt snowflakes, pearls, Wide Riding Hood Red and Vanilla ribbon and the Winter Post stamp set, with craft ink. I also added a little flare by using a rub on and making the image 3D.
If you have more questions on how to create your own altered canvas, please let me know!

Little Black Bag

Every girl needs a little black bag for New Year's Eve!

This was made using the Big Shot and the BigZ Top Note die. I added my own little girly touch, but will be working on perfecting it. I think I need some really wide silver ribbon!

JOHN AND MARY'S GIFT

I am officially finished with a 21 page scrapbook that I started last night. My cousin was married in September and this is part of the gift I am giving.

Here are a few of my FAVORITE layouts!
( I also took the pictures, except for the one in on Certainly Celery!)

CHRISTMAS IS IN THE AIR...

I received this very cute card in the mail from my friend Corey! I just LOVE Winter Post stamp set. I wasn't going to order it, but broke down last week, and I also added the Old Saint Nick Rub Ons and the 1 1/4 inch candycane ribbon! I made gift tags for my little cutie pies in Ontario, but forgot to take a picture to show all of you :-(

The Gingerbread Man Baking kits are for a cookie exchange I am in this Saturday! I did 14 dozen cookies with all the ingredients inside to decorate. Powdered sugar, red hots, chocolate candy and piping bags. I hope everyone enjoys the smiles they get with their kids.

I hope to get back to posting daily for a few weeks, but we all know how busy this time of the year is!

Ribbon Share Club

I have recently started to offer ribbon share club. This is where you choose a ribbon grouping to share with others. I cut it into the shared yardage and wrap it all nice and neat to deliver to your door :-) It is a great way to have a variety of ribbon on hand without buying full rolls of it.

If your interested in participating in this, please let me know. There are four different groups to choose from.

Misty's Cake

We always have a project exchange outside of club and our theme this month was Birthday! I was the lucky winner of this adorable creation that Misty made. She even wrapped a real candle in double sided paper :-)

Coaster Ornament

Everytime we are at a restaurant that gives you the little cardboard coasters, I collect them! Here is what Stamp Club made on Monday night. I love the new Ski Slope paper from the Holiday mini catalog and the felt snowflakes are awesome!

Sage Christmas

I RARELY use Sage Shadow or Handsome Hunter, much less Grey ribbon, so I decided to create something out of my comfort zone for Stamp Club's card project tonight.
I like how it turned out!

Big Shot Envelope Box

Wow, where is the time going? I tried to make sure I posted every day, but it seems this week has gotten away from me.

Here is a box I made using the BIG SHOT die cutting machine. It uses the envelope die cut and goes together in under 15 minutes, start to finish!

I added a distressed look to it and wrapped Hershey nuggets in Designer series paper.

Enjoy!

Definition of a Boy!

I just finished painting my family room and wanted to create an artwork displaying my boys'. I came upon this vinyl rub on at Kohl's and couldn't resist purchasing it. This describes our house to a T!!! I have had the large initial wooden letters for quite sometime and I knew exactly what I FINALLY wanted to do with them :-) I need to add more images, but for now, I like how they turned out. I printed them off my computer and Mod Podged over all of it to adhere the images to the painted wood.

This puts a smile on my face everytime I walk downstairs!

(I painted the letters the same contrasting color as one wall in my family room. It really tied it all together)

Cocoa Cups Holder

I found this ADORABLE template from Lauren Meader. She is a marvelous paper crafter! I am giving this to my friend Debbie for her birthday. It was in September, but since I will be shipping it to Toronto, I might as well just send it with Christmas presents now, right?

This would be so cute with chicken soup packages, or hot cocoa/coffee or even some fun "adult" drink theme.
I can't wait to make more of these and if you wanted, you could easily just make one box, rather than putting two of them together, making the carrier.

STOCKING STUFFER'S!

ARE THESE STOCKINGS ADORABLE, OR WHAT? I FOUND THE FREE DOWNLOAD THROUGH "MY TEMPLATES". I LOVE LAUREN'S DESIGNS AND CAN'T WAIT TO PURCHASE MORE OF HER DESIGNS.

THESE WOULD BE PERFECT FOR TEACHER'S, CO-WORKERS, CHILDCARE PROVIDERS AND MORE. THE BOX INSIDE THE STOCKING IS THREE INCHES HIGH AND 2 1/2 INCHES IN DIAMETER, SO THEY CAN HOLD A GOOD AMOUNT OF CANDY, BODYCARE PRODUCTS, GIFT CARD AND MORE.

MY STAMP CLUB LADIES WILL BE MAKING THESE AT STAMP CLUB THIS MONTH!

(NOTE: THE CARDSTOCK AND DESIGNER PAPER USED ON THIS STOCKING ARE RETIRED AND NO LONGER AVAILABLE TO ORDER)

Home Decor'

I haven't been able to post or create too much lately. I have been painting my entire downstairs and raising three little boy angels :-) But, I did want to show you the vinyl rub on's that I have been falling in love with! Both of these were put on in less than 30 minutes. I purchased the "weeds" from Stampin' Up and the saying was on sale at Michael's. Stampin' up has some awesome sets for kids' rooms and they all come in various color options.

Happy Halloween!

I know tomorrow will be a crazy, busy day, so I wanted to post these cute Halloween projects before I forget. I went to a Stamp Camp, instructed by my upline, Kristen last night. We made the cute box and scrapbook, plus a Snowman card, which I will post later. She gave each one of us these Crunch bars wrapped in the designer series double sided paper! Are they cute or what? They could easily be adapted for any holiday and used for quick stocking stuffers, or a thank you for teachers :-)

Have a safe Pumpkin Day!

Michelle's Project Exchange

Each month my stamp club ladies exchange a project, made outside of club. The hostess for the month chooses a theme and we create around that. I was hostess for October and this was the project I received. Michelle purchased an inexpensive frame at Wal-Mart and made this beautiful Fall frame.

MORE DONATIONS!

THIS STAMP SET WAS NOT ON MY LIST OF "MUST HAVE'S" BUT, I HAD THIS IDEA IN MY HEAD AND HERE IT IS. THESE WILL BE GIVEN TO ALL OF OUR FRIENDS, AS PART OF THEIR PRESENT. I THINK STAMPS AND ENVELOPES WOULD BE A GREAT ADDITION TO THE PACKAGE AS WELL :-)

Thank You, Box in a Bag!

These have become my "go to" projects when I am in need of a quick gift that looks oh so cute! They are big enough to hold a pen, small note pad and chocolate :-) They are quick to make look fabulous in any of the Stampin' Up Designer Series Double Sided paper.

Soup Kitchen Donations...

A fellow stamper and club member is going to be having a craft boutique and I promised her that I would make a few things for her to sell. I have seen both of these projects all over the place, but I found them on two of my favorite blog's. Dawn's and Chin N Scratch, both have links to the right of my posts.

The pixie sticks are such a fun and easy project. In fact, my 7 year old made 30 of these last night for his class, with a Halloween theme. The santa Hershey bars are even cuter in person and take minutes to make!

What perfect stocking stuffer's they would make :-)

Birthday Party Favors

My twin boys' had a "Camo" birthday party and these were the party favors for all the kids. I lucked out and was able to find camo Hershey kisses, thanks to Halloween! They were "monster" kisses. We also added a glow bracelet and mini flashlight inside the water bottle. Each person that came, had a different ranking. We even had camo face paint and asked each guest to dress in camo clothing! It was a perfect day :-)

I wrapped each water bottle in paper and used the large, medium and small Stampin' Up oval punches. For the tags, I used the key tag and over all, I think they turned out pretty darn cute.

Frosty Day for Club

This card is made using the Frosty Day Designer Series Paper from the Stampin' Up holiday mini catalog. I used the Season of Joy stamp set for the image part of this card. The card is called a Joy Fold and is perfect for inserting a picture for the holiday's. The colors are a bit different than your normal Christmas colors, but it reminds me of a Nordic ski sweater that we see quite often at Buena Vista. So warm and cozy feeling. Enjoy! (If you want to look at the awesome mini catalog, click on over to Stampin' Up's website, located to the right :-) )

Christmas Card 2008

It is always a challenge to come up with something fun and new to send out for the holidays. I have done photos cards for quite a few years, but this year, I'm planning on making them and here is what they will look like. I entered this in a Stampin' Up contest and hope to at least make Stamper's Showcase on the demo site, if nothing else :-) I'm challenging myself to enter at least one contest a quarter.

Stationery Gift in a Box

I will be teaching a class on how to make these on Sunday. If all goes will, I will be holding another class soon. This truly is an entire gift under one lid. It even has a place for stamps :-)
For time purposes, I chose one of Stampin' Up's Simply Scrappin Kits to put together. You can get two gift boxes from one kit, with an extra four sheets of cardstock for the cards.
I didn't do any stamping on these either, and the entire start to finish took about two hours, but that was with a seven year old and two five year olds "helping" :-) I hope my camp goers enjoy their day on Sunday!

Paint Can Gift

I made this in about three hours. My sister in law turned 50 today and she is a Western lover, so I thought the Boho patterns were perfect for her. I'm in love with the die cut mini albums I have been making and I finally broke down and used my last paper cube. She loves pictures, so the clothes pin photo holder will look very nice on her desk :-)

Stamp Club Exchange!

I absolutely LOVE this stamp set! If you are interested in ordering, please e-mail me, or click on the link to the catalog, located on the right side of this screen.

Each month my stamp club girls meet, we exchange a project we made at home. We draw names and get to take the person's exchange home with us to enjoy. This month, I am the hostess and chose a Home Decor' for the theme and here is what I cam up with.

I'm going to have a hard time parting with it, as these colors match my house perfectly. I guess I will need to make my own :-) I mean, how can you go wrong on a $2.00 frame that you can turn into a priceless masterpiece?

Thankfully, this was made over breakfast as the boys' dined on cereal and Saturday morning cartoons :-)

Table decor' and door prizes!

I noticed these cute pumpkins and apples on splitcoast yesterday, by hwblondstampermom. So, since I'm still not wanting to mess up my craft room, I pulled out the label punch and punched away! Then, this evening, I saw these cute mini scrapbooks Stamping Mommy of 4 and decided to use up some cardboard. They were made in about five minutes using the BIG SHOT! I never thought I would love such an invention as much as I do.
Both of these projects will be showcased at my Kids Halloween Camp on Sunday!

Gettin' Punchy

I spent all day yesterday getting my craft room back into somewhat of an organized work space, so today, I didn't want to mess it up and decided to just use punches and scrap paper to make my projects.

The vampire card I found on Splitcoast Stampers, by Susan Bednarz and the spiders were made by casegj, but when "G" came into my room, he announced that he wanted a bat and this is what we came up with. I just love when my kiddos take part in using their imagination and creating with me :-)
